EK-põhjarõngale on tehases valatud sile põhi. EK põhjarõngas sobib kasutamiseks isevoolsete torustike kontroll- ja hoolduskaevude põhjaelemendina. Terasarmeeringu olemasolu tagab sobivuse liikluskoormusega aladel kasutamiseks
